Associate Patrick J. Finley focuses his practice on insurance defense, with an emphasis on automobile liability matters. He brings a diverse litigation background to Morris Duffy Alonso Faley & Pitcoff, having served as both a prosecutor and civil litigator throughout his legal career. After earning his law degree in 2008, Mr. Finley began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, where he proudly represented the People of the State of New York. He later transitioned into civil litigation, gaining experience at several high-profile plaintiff’s firms. Prior to joining MDAFP, he also worked in the Global Financial Crimes Department at Morgan Stanley. Since 2019, his practice has concentrated on the defense of personal injury claims, particularly in the context of motor vehicle accidents and insurance-related matters. In February 2025, Mr. Finley secured a defense verdict on behalf of a Morris Duffy client in Fabian Godoy v. Lisa T. Praderes and Shamsul Afrin (Index No. 720947/2019, Queens County Supreme Court).
