Associate Mary O. Famuyide focuses her practice on insurance defense litigation. She is involved in all stages of civil litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Prior to joining Morris Duffy Alonso Faley & Pitcoff, Ms. Famuyide worked at the New York City Law Department in the Bronx Tort Office. There, she defended the City of New York in a wide range of personal injury and tort claims, gaining valuable courtroom experience and sharpening her motion and settlement skills. While at the Law Department, Ms. Famuyide second chaired a jury trial that resulted in a defense verdict in a high-exposure case where the plaintiff had sought millions in damages. She also successfully negotiated the settlement of a spinal fusion case, where the plaintiff’s demand exceeded $1 million, for just $15,000, following the strength of her summary judgment motion. Ms. Famuyide is committed to delivering strategic, cost-effective representation to clients across New York’s courts.
