Joseph Martin

Associate

Joseph Martin is an experienced litigator whose practice focuses on commercial litigation, creditors' rights, and bankruptcy matters. He has represented financial institutions, secured creditors, and commercial clients in both state and federal courts across New York and New Jersey.
Prior to joining Morris Duffy Alonso Faley & Pitcoff, Mr. Martin practiced at Nolan Heller Kauffman LLP, where he represented financial institutions in complex bankruptcy proceedings and commercial enforcement actions. He also previously worked at Zachter PLLC, focusing on commercial litigation and arbitration matters involving real estate and contract disputes. In both roles, Mr. Martin handled cases from inception through post-judgment enforcement and regularly appeared in court for oral arguments and motion practice.
Mr. Martin brings additional experience in bankruptcy litigation from his time as a staff attorney at a leading New York-based insolvency firm, where he assisted in the representation of corporate clients involved in high-value restructuring and insolvency proceedings. He is also fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese, which has enhanced his work on multilingual legal investigations and discovery projects.
