John Spensieri

John Spensieri, Esq., is an associate in the firm’s litigation and appellate practice, where he represents insurers, corporations, and individuals in high-exposure civil disputes and complex business matters. His work includes drafting dispositive motions, briefs, and legal advisories in state court. Prior to joining Morris Duffy, Mr. Spensieri worked on personal injury and insurance coverage matters at a nationally renowned plaintiffs’ personal injury law firm, where he handled cases from pre-suit through litigation. Mr. Spensieri has been involved with multimillion-dollar claims from early investigation through resolution. His experience spans both trial and appellate advocacy, with a focus on strategic motion practice and legal research.

John earned his J.D. with honors from Emory University School of Law, where he served as Symposium Editor of the Emory International Law Review and President of the Labor and Employment Society. He was recognized with the Pro Bono Publico Award for his service to underserved communities and was a fellow of the New York City Bar Association’s Litigation Program. John holds a B.A., summa cum laude, In Cursu Honorum, from St. John’s University. Outside of work, John is an avid reader and passionate student of history. He enjoys running and is committed to serving others through legal and community-based volunteer efforts. Mr. Spensieri is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
