COURTNEY F. CHENETTE joined MDAF as an associate in 2015. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Chenette focused her practice on litigation ranging from high-profile municipal liability, civil rights, and constitutional claims, to employment discrimination cases, federal class actions, and securities derivative suits. Across these practice areas Ms. Chenette is experienced in handling complex and voluminous electronic discovery and motion practice. Ms. Chenette’s practice is often concentrated in Federal Courts. In addition, Ms. Chenette’s practice also includes incorporating non-profits and counseling schools on issues relating to Federal compliance and policies, particularly anti-discrimination laws and Title IX. She is a frequent lecturer in her practice areas.

In 2011, the Pace Women’s Justice Center awarded Ms. Chenette the Justice for Women Award recognizing her commitment to providing legal services to victims of domestic violence. In addition, she was awarded the New York University Charles H. Revson Public Interest Fellowship for her work with Day One legal services representing domestic violence victims in all five New York City borough Family Courts.

Ms. Chenette was also a Pace University Presidential Scholarship recipient, Dean’s Scholar, and Chair of the Moot Court Board serving on Pace Law’s Federal Bar Association Thurgood Marshall Memorial Moot Court team in Washington, D.C. (quarterfinalist) and Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot team in Vienna, Austria.
