| | RICHARD E. STIEK joined MDAFP as an associate in 2024, specializing in personal injury defense. He has tried numerous cases in Bronx and New York Counties and throughout the New York City metro area. He has worked diligently with insurance carriers and clients to limit exposure and obtain below-offer jury verdicts. Prior to joining MDAFP, Mr. Stiek worked as both in-house carrier trial counsel and retained counsel, conducting jury trials, and otherwise handling from inception to conclusion, for high-exposure cases in both auto accident and construction and Labor Law cases.
Mr. Stiek resides in Port Washington, New York. After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1996, Mr. Stiek served five years as an artillery officer at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Upon completion of his military service, he earned his graduate degree in psychology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. While engaged in the practice of trial law, Mr. Stiek earned his MBA from Cameron University, Lawton, Oklahoma. He has previously served in an advisory capacity to several not-for-profit entities related to his military service and local community, including the development and dedication of the Long Island MacArthur Airport memorial to General MacArthur, the Armed Forces Reserve Family Assistance Fund, and the West Point Society of New York. Mr. Stiek also assists in the admissions and recruitment of candidates for West Point in the New York City metro area. |
