DEBORAH A. POCHTAR joined MDAFP in 2021 with over thirty-seven years' experience in insurance defense litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Pochtar's practice focused on automobile liability. She has obtained numerous defendants' verdicts and dismissals at trial in motor vehicle cases in all five boroughs of New York City. Previously, Ms. Pochtar was a senior trial attorney for in-house counsel at United Services Automobile Association, where she defended personal injury, premises liability, subrogation, no-fault and Worker's Compensation matters. At MDAFP, Ms. Pochtar continues to handle automobile liability matters. She is married to Steven Pochtar, and their pride and joy, their son Jared, is a recent graduate with honors from Harvard University.
